Rawene, the Ferry Town, is on the Twin Coast Discovery Highway on the west coast of Northland in the heart of the Hokianga Harbour. Rawene is a one-hour drive from the Bay of Islands, or 45 mins from the Waipoua Forest.

If you are travelling south, take the ferry at Kohukohu to Rawene. Continue on the main road, after about 700 metres turn right into Mariner Street and follow the official Holiday Park signs, to the top of the hill. If you are travelling north on State Highway 12, follow the sign to Rawene Ferry Station. Continue on the main road and turn left into Mariner Street. Follow the official Holiday Park signs, to the top of the hill.
